Student Council

The main role of a Student Council as set out in the Education Act is “to promote the interests of the school and the involvement of students in the affairs of the school, in co-operation with the board, parents and teachers”.

The Student Council comprises two representatives from each class who are elected at the beginning of each year.

Student Council meetings are held once a month or about 6 throughout the School Year, Students have the opportunity to discuss issues of general concern to the student body and to voice their opinions within the school.

Any decisions reached or suggestions made are reported back to the student body.

Ms. Anne Prince acts as liaison and attends the monthly meetings
