Celebrating the Achievements of Our TY Gaisce Students 2025

Congratulations to our TY Gaisce students who are concluding their Silver Gaisce programme with an overnight adventure journey, hiking in Moylussa and staying at Derg Isle tonight. This marks a beautiful end to a very beneficial year and programme. The Gaisce Silver Award is the second level of the Gaisce – The President's Award, aimed at young people aged 16-25. The programme involves four key challenge areas: Community Involvement, Personal Skill, Physical Recreation, and an Adventure Journey. Throughout the year, our TY students engaged in community fundraising, delivered care packs to the elderly, visited Stella Maris and Liscannor nursing homes, and learned about the values associated with the Gaisce programme.

A special thanks to Home Ec and RE Teacher, Ms. Fiona O'Donoghue, for reintroducing this programme to the school and for her unwavering support, encouragement, and guidance to our Gaisce students throughout their journey. The sunshine in East Clare today shone brightly, reflecting the joyous celebration of a very fulfilling time and programme for our students.
