A Bridge to Secondary School - Mary Immaculate Discovery Days – This TY led exciting initiative took place on October 22nd and 23rd, involving local primary schools in the area. It was part of our commitment to supporting the transition from primary to secondary school, in line with Department of Education guidance.
Over the two days, pupils had the chance to explore a range of subjects through hands-on workshops in Art, Home Economics, Woodwork, and Science — all guided and mentored by our TY students. Their support and encouragement helped create a welcoming and fun environment, giving younger students a real sense of what secondary school is like.
Each day ended with a bang — quite literally — as Ms Nagle wrapped up the experience with her now-famous rocket blast demonstration, leaving students wide-eyed and smiling. It was a fantastic and insightful experience for everyone involved.
