What a victory it was for the Mary Immaculate u17 boys gaelic footballers who played Spanish Point today in foggy conditions in Clarecastle. Spanish Point started off very strong in the first half and led by five points at half time. The match seemed over with ten minutes to go as Spanish Point led comfortably by seven points. Then, in the space of three minutes, three fantastic goals by our forwards brought us right back into the game and left us leading by two with only a few minutes remaining. Our backs left everything on the field as Spanish Point pushed up in an effort to draw level, but luckily we were able to keep them out. The final score was Mary Immaculate 4-6 Spanish Point 2-11. Well done lads!
