It was a great result for our Under 17 boys' footballers who playedKilrushCommunity School on Monday 23rd of September in Lisdoonvarna GAA pitch. The game was twice as important as the result would go towards two competitions, theTUS Corn Seosamh Ui Neill Munster Championship and the Clare Post Primary Schools U17 Football Championship.Mary Immaculate began the game at a serious pace with brilliant scores from Cathal McNamara, Adam Howley and Iarla Byrne. Our defense was solid in the first half keeping Kilrush to only three scores from play and we went in at half time leading comfortably. Kilrush lookedverydangerous in the second half, hitting the crossbar twice in the opening minutes and coming close to finding the net on multiple occasions. Fortunately, goals from Cathal McNamara, Tristan O’Loughlin, Jack O’Loughlin and Iarla Byrne sealed an importantvictory for Mary Immaculate with a final score of 5-16 to 4-6.
