TY Intergenerational IT

IT workshops for older people facilitated by our TY Students
TY Intergenerational IT

Our fantastic Transition Years commenced a six week IT workshop for Senior citizens and members of the local North Clare community on Wednesday last, Nov 13th, in the Burren Tea Rooms, Kilfenora from 12 to 1pm. They are

Nathan Brody, Beth Clark, Rachel Howley, Aine Hegarty, Gerard Howard and Meave Meehan.

Despite the driving rain and flooded roads, six brave participants presented for the first session, equipped with their digital devices and list of burning questions regarding same. Our Transition Year students patiently guided each participant, through their IT issues on ipads, mobile phones, lap tops etc. All participants and TY students engaged fully in the workshop which will, no doubt grow in momentum and community and Christian spirit as the weeks progress.
