Our Zoom Welcome for our Incoming First Years 2020

Our Zoom Welcome for our Incoming First Years 2020

Amidst the thunder and lightning strikes in North Clare last Monday June 15th, senior management, Ms Hynes and Ms O Doherty, along with incoming First year Year head, Ms Gallery successfully presented our Zoom information slide show presentation to our incoming first year class of 2020. It was fully attended by all students and parents. Our aim was to provide practical information and make a new connection with our newest students of Mary Immaculate. We appreciate that this is a big step in our students’ lives and also, for their parents. We have in place procedures and supports to make the transition not just easier but enjoyable and exciting:

This Zoom Meeting June 15th 2020: Information with explain and answer questions was one but also students will have a revisit walkabout - August 20th - individual time slots and an Induction Day - Friday 28th August 2020 with Peer Mentors, Year head, and Tutor support.

Pastoral Care is at the heart of what we do. It is of utmost importance that all our students feel valued, supported, protected and safe in our school.
When students are happy in themselves and happy in their school, they will achieve their full potential.

Students are encouraged to strive for their own academic excellence and grow to mature fully also both holistically and spiritually.

All our staff are actively involved in the care of our students and are all very excited to meet and journey along with our newest school community addition.
