Mid Term Message

Mid Term Message

Dear Parents /Guardians

October mid-term is now upon us and despite the vital Covid-19 restrictions, we at Mary Immaculate take this opportunity to say a huge “Thank You” to our school community and especially, parents and guardians who have supported our students in adjusting to our new normal. By supporting Our School Covid Response plan, parents and guardians have played a vital role in keeping our school open and Covid compliant. This support has also ensured we have continuity of learning and teaching in a haven of safety.

Misneach means Courage! Our school community has certainly exhibited this virtue over the past months bearing witness to the founding intentions of our Mercy School—so that our students experience the fullness of life through our holistic education, in a safe environment. Well done to all our students and Staff for showing such incredible Courage and Resilience.

I hope that during mid-term your child takes a good break and manages to rest and return refreshed and rejuvenated for the journey to Christmas. Also note that Eportal will be open for all parents to view student midterm October assessment results from Friday 29 October.

Exam Students and Fifth years will have Formal Christmas Exams this year in early to mid-December. Year Heads will deliver more information on this after Mid Term.

Finally just to add, the scale of this pandemic crisis represents one of the most unprecedented and severe challenges ever faced by school communities, however it has also given incredible perspective and optimistically an appreciation of what really matters.

We now know that working together and supporting each other we are stronger, and together we will continue to respond to what lies ahead in an informed, clear and consistent way, ensuring all our students are progressing along their educational journey in a safe and happy environment.

Warm regards to all our families this midterm,

Stay safe,

Ms Hynes
