Mary Immaculate's Tribute to Catholics Schools Week 2021

As we move towards the end of Catholic Schools Week and into the beautiful month of February, looking ahead to St Brigid’s Day, I want to once again thank you for all you continue do in these, the strangest of times.

To quote Anne Frank “don't think of all the misery but of all the beauty that still remains

Please enjoy our Mary Immaculate Secondary School tribute to Catholic schools week 2021. Our students were invited to forward a selection of photos from their outside classroom reflections on the healing power of nature and the holy and sacred landmarks from within our North Clare catchment and unique landscape.

These images remind us of our rich heritage and how we are nurtured by the past as well as the present. These photos serve to highlight the need for connecting with our environment and ourselves. Also they remind us to schedule time for time out and stopping to be grateful for the beauty just outside our door.

This montage of local imagery and prayer is complimented musically by the uplifting tones of Clare My Heart My Home played for us by our very own Fifth year student and Kilfenora concertina player, Aine Hegarty. Let it serve to remind us all of our unique heritage and beauty that is all around us, and still remains.

Many thanks to all that created this tribute, especially our many students who contributed their photos, and especially Aine, our musician, Mr Slattery, Ms Morrissey, Ms Dunne and Ms O Doherty.
