Lenten Reflection - March 12 2021

Lenten Reflection - March 12 2021

As we reflect during this time of Lent and what it is to be without the things we may have taken for granted, it can be a time to take up sometime good for ourselves, and in doing so, give back to a God that Shepherds us.

As we take time to prepare for Easter, we have watched our year come full circle.

On the 12 of March 2020 our schools shut for the first time and our country entered lockdown, something we could never have imagined, had unfolded.

Our world stood still.

Today the 12 of March 2021 we emerge from a year that was full of uncertainty, to one of hope on the horizon. The unimportant elements of life have been sieved away and we are now left with the grains of what really matters: family, friends and community.

Soon all our school community will return on site to complete our last academic term. Leaving Certs have settled back extremely well and are firmly on the road to their examinations. They path is set.

We welcome our fifth years back on Monday, needless to say we are looking forward to seeing their bright faces again.

As gradually our full school community is returned we know to savour each success and achievement, and value all the important grains in life, to nurture and hold them safely, as we go forward together.
