Fifty five of our French and Art students are currently having a wonderful time in Paris, the Culture and Art capital of the world. Our students left Mary Immaculate, Lisdoonvarna a 1am on Saturday morning and flew from Dublin into Orly Airport, Paris on March 16th. That afternoon they visited the Musée du Louvre. Yesterday morning the itinerary included a trip to the Musee d'Orsay, to view all the famous Impressionist art of the 1880s, followed by a tour of the famous Chateau de Versailles in the afternoon. Last evening the students experienced breath taking views of the Eiffel Tower at night. Our students are accompanied on this amazing and memorable trip by teachers Ms Gomes, Ms Dunne, Ms Murphy, Mr Burke and tour leader Mr Gomes. Today, our students are experiencing Paris by boat on a one hour return cruise on the River Seine, followed by a tour of the Sacré-Cœur and Montmartre area. We wish our students and teachers the very best for the remaining leg of the tour and look forward to hearing all about the rest of what their action packed itinerary has in store.
