Happy Easter from all at Mary Immaculate

Happy Easter! We extend our warmest wishes to all parents, guardians, and students during this special season. Easter reports are now available on VSware, and if you encounter any issues accessing them, please contact the office after the Easter holidays on Monday, April 28th.

A sincere thank you to all parents who contributed to the Bi Cinealta anti-bullying review. Your input has been invaluable in shaping positive changes in our policies. On May 7th, the school will close in the afternoon for a consultation on our anti-bullying procedures. That same morning, we will host our Wellbeing and Sports Day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with buses departing at 1:10 PM as usual.

Our students continue to shine across Sport, Science, Languages, the Arts, and Wellbeing. Their outstanding achievements are detailed in the news sections of our website and social media. We are very proud of all their achievements. As exam season approaches, we send our best wishes to all students preparing for their oral examinations. Evening Study will resume after the break, running Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offering structured support to help students prepare effectively.

We warmly welcome home our French exchange students after their unforgettable experience in France and thank Mr. Gomes for organising this wonderful trip. In early May, we look forward to hosting our German exchange students, and we extend our gratitude to Mr. Mulqueeney for his efforts in planning their visit.

As part of ongoing curriculum development, our team is exploring the possibility of implementing one-hour class structures. Parents are encouraged to complete the survey emailed to them to share their feedback.

Our school community continues to thrive thanks to the dedication of teachers and the unwavering support of parents and guardians. Together, we nurture and empower our students, ensuring they have the best opportunities to grow and succeed.

Easter Blessing by John O’Donohue:

"On this Easter morning, let us look again at the lives we have been so generously given and let us let fall away the useless baggage that we carry—old pains, old habits, old ways of seeing and feeling—and let us have the courage to begin again. Life is very short, and we are no sooner here than it is time to depart again, and we should use to the full the time that we still have. We don’t realise all the good we can do. A kind, encouraging word or helping hand can bring many a person through dark valleys in their lives. We weren’t put here to make money or to acquire status or reputation. We were sent here to search for the light of Easter in our hearts, and when we find it we are meant to give it away generously. May the spirit and light of this Easter morning bless us all, watch over us and protect us on our journey, open us from the darkness into the light of peace and hope and transfiguration."

Wishing you and your families a wonderful Easter break—may you find time to relax and enjoy it with loved ones. Ms Hynes and All the Staff of Mary Immaculate Secondary School
