Our 5th and 6th year agricultural science students had a great day out at Conroy Farm Tours in Whitegate yesterday. Lorraine and Paul ran a brilliant tour showing us all the different business aspects of their farm enterprise while relating it all back to the Leaving Cert. Agricultural Science course.
The main aspects we looked at today were the running of a beef rearing enterprise and their Dutch Zwartbles pedigree sheep for competition and sales.
A hot cup of tea and a cookie from the on-site family bakery, Konfect, at the end really topped it off. Thank you Ms Crilly for bringing our students, and
Thank you Lorraine and Paul. We’ll be back!
