The Munster Regional Session of the European Youth Parliament (EYP), which three of our sixth year students participated in, took place from the 11-13th of February in the Christian Brothers College Cork.
.
The students wrote resolutions on topics such as women in STEM, antibiotic shortages, and period poverty. They then debated these topics in an assembly on the final day, held in UCC.
.
The students improved their public speaking and team working skills and became more aware of how the European Union operates. The students made new and valued friendships during this event and would definitely recommend it to other students.
The latest update came in this Monday morning, and we must now wish our three students, Ella Brody, Emily Maloney and Jack Rush a huge congratulations in their success at moving through to the finals of the European Youth Parliament. The finals will take place the from the 3rd to the 8th of April in Cork. This will be the 27th National Session of the European Youth Parliament in Ireland and we are so proud of our three young delegates for achieving success at this level.
