Easter Blessings

Easter Blessings

Easter is a time for hope, optimism and the energy that comes from cooperation and team work. Our school is built on this. Also the generosity of spirit and minds in sharing talents and giving back to community, is the light of hope. Building community through kindness, safeguards all that is good and precious in life. Easter is ultimately a time for this to flourish, a time for humanity. We are an Easter people, the Resurrection signifies that anything is possible.

We have to be open to Trust and gain the resilience to move with the shifting sands of these changing times. Our schools are places of immense hope because they are filled with the light of the future and indeed despite all the ‘stuff’ out there, they are places of immense energy and joy.

We look forward to all our school community being back on April 12.

We will be issuing a memo on school return for all our students nearer the time. Each year will have an assembly with Year heads on the day of their return. We urge you all to continue to follow the Covid guidelines to ensure all our efforts will secure a safe return to school for all our students and the certainty that our State Exams will be carried through.

This week we had a Department of Education Inspection which focused on the school’s COVID-19 Response Plan and our Policy Statement. It also looked into our communication with parents and students around our plan and preparations for returning to school in August and again in March. Our inspector built in a Child Protection inspection/check also. We complied fully with all of the 10 checks reviewed. Our school is a safe place based on our Covid Response plan. We know we all need to continue to stay with this plan to ensure a whole school return.

I thank you again for your support and I wish you every blessing this Easter and hope you get to spend rejuvenating time with those who matter most to you. Regards Ms Hynes
