On Wednesday 20th April, four students from Mary Immaculate Secondary School went to Athlone Institute of Technology to partake in the National Final 2016 of the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management accountants and Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland) & BSTAI Schools Quiz.
Twenty four schools made it to the finals. The quiz consisted of 10 rounds of 8 questions. The four students had qualified for the Munster final in L.I.T where they took 1st place.
The students were: Arthur Collins, Dara Kenneally, Jessica Kelly and Muireann Leahy
Their Business Studies teacher Anne Keane Egan accompanied them. They came 4th in the National final, missing out on 3rd place by 1 point and only 3 points behind the winning school, St Columba’s, Donegal. The students prepared very well and did their school and families proud. Well done.
