We wish to invite you to attend a Parents Association meeting in the Secondary School on Wednesday 28 January 2015 at 7.30 pm.
We need your support and presence in making the school the best it can possibly be.
We have draft School Improvement Plans in relation to literacy and numeracy in place which we wish to share with you and discuss how you can support us in achieving our targets in those areas.
We also wish to identify one new area of school life which we wish to improve over the next year 2015-2016, whilst continuing with our improvement on literacy and numeracy. If you have any ideas please share them with us.
I will see you on Wednesday 28th January at 7.30 pm.

The school community of Mary Immaculate Secondary School mourned the sudden death of a valued and much respected colleague. Hughie joined the staff in 1999 and he died whilst out herding, feeding his horses and caring for his animals.
He died doing what he loved, out of doors, close to nature and his maker. He loved teaching and he loved the students. He had a tremendous understanding of those students who were on the margins and in need of some encouragement and some straight talking. He was much more than a teacher, he was a gentleman and a friend.
We all miss him and we pray especially for his wife Liz, his children, Joe, James, Patrick and Mae, his mother Patsy, his brothers and sisters, and his large circle of friends. We give thanks for short but significant life in which he touched the lives of so many with his gentleness, kindness, consideration and his joyful humour.
